200 new jobs to be created in the UK

21 December 2011
IT jobs, as well as those in bioscience and healthcare are due to see an increase in the UK, as a new hi-tech business park is expected to boost employment levels in the city in which it is being built.

It has been announced that Hull will see 200 jobs created in the area thanks to the building of the park by Developer Horncastle Group PLC, which has been awarded over £3 million in funding from the European Regional Development Fund.

Communities minister Baroness Hanham CBE said: "Investing in high-specification business premises with private sector partners will help the city of Hull to be able to attract the businesses and employers of tomorrow."

She added that highly skilled jobs will help to slow the problem of a skills shortage.

This will be a welcome boost for the employment market in the UK, which has recently been licking its wounds, with a downturn in fortunes and the continued problems in the eurozone.
