Alternative qualifications needed for temporary jobs in the UK?

13 February 2011
Temporary jobs in the UK might be easier to find if individuals pursue some form of training, especially when they are not planning to attend university.

Sarah Clover, sales and marketing director at notgoingtouni.co.uk, says those who choose not to take their studies further could benefit from distance learning courses or employer-funded degrees.

Finding a temporary job might also be made easier if individuals improve their skill set with experiences like apprenticeships, which could show recruiters young people are hard working and determined to find a post in the sector.

Administrative and secretarial jobs in the UK might also help those individuals who remain keen to go to university, as they can provide much-needed cash, flexible hours and valuable professional experience.

This comes after news agencies widely reported Oxford and Cambridge - arguably Britain's most prestigious centres of further learning - are planning to charge the maximum allowed for attendance, demanding students pay £9,000 a year in fees.  ADNFCR-1275-ID-800400665-ADNFCR
