German employment rises again in November

03 January 2012
The number of people employed in Germany has increased for the 21st month in a row, as the number of those who have not got jobs has fallen yet again.

It was revealed by the German Federal Statistics Office that the number of people employed in the country in November rose by 0.1 per cent to 41.188 million. This was coupled with the fact that there was a decrease of 50,000 in the number of people who were out of work.

The Federal Statistics Office also reported that the yearly rate of employment had increased by 1.3 per cent. This represented the sixth year in a row that the number had grown, according to Market News International.

Manufacturing jobs continued to perform well in Germany, extending the upward trend seen in October, when the Federal Statistics Office reported an increase of 184,100 jobs in the space of the previous 12 months.
