Hospitality employment expected at major new Russian resort

26 July 2011
A new resort development in Russia is expected to generate jobs for people in the country.

Plans from a consortium led by Moschanko Investment Group from California will create a 600-acre site that features entertainment venues, hotels, retail outlets and dining establishments.

According to Breaking Travel News, Magic World Russia will combine "multiple theme park concepts" in a single location and thousands of jobs will be created in the country by the construction and operation of the fantasy world.

"Magic World Russia will be the first significant theme park destination developed in Russia and the former Soviet Union territories including Eastern Europe," the news source said, adding it is expected to attract ten to 12 million people annually.

Reuters recently quoted the Iter-Tass news agency as saying Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has stated young people should aspire to become successful in the private sector rather than aiming for jobs as state officials.
