Indian hiring to pick up by March

12 December 2011
The number of jobs available in India is set to see a significant increase during the first quarter of 2012, according to the results of a new survey.

MyHiringClub.com questioned prospective employers over their intentions to hire new staff during the period, and found that the country's net employment outlook stands at 29 per cent.

This means that the number of jobs available will have increased by 9 percentage points when compared to the same three month period in 2010, and by 11 percentage points when compared to the previous quarter.

Rajesh Kumar, MyHiringClub.com chief executive officer, told The Hindu Business Line: "Job seekers will be going to get more opportunities as our data shows the India's employment markets will experience recovery in the fourth quarter. The good news is that many markets appear to be heading in the right direction."

According to the results, IT jobs and infrastructure will see the most positive upturn.

Recently, the US House of Representatives said it expected an increase in the number of labour immigrants from India in the IT sector.
