IT recruitment news: Qualified females will easily get interviews
12 February 2011
Return to index
IT
recruitment news indicates women in the profession should have no trouble securing interviews if they have the appropriate skills and experience, as firms want females on their payroll.
Maggie Berry, managing director of womenintechnology.co.uk, advises: "Many companies are keen to hire more female talent for technology roles but there just aren't enough qualified women out there, with less entering the profession and more leaving it."
On this basis,
IT jobs
in the Netherlands or Germany may be easy to find, as the expert claims working knowledge of the sector will always be a desirable quality for employers.
She suggests investing in building skills will pay dividends, noting the number of
IT jobs
available is set to increase as companies pull away from the recession and start feeling more optimistic about the future.
And computing experience might take professionals ever further afield, as a recent report by Silicon India suggested corporations in the country are creating thousands of jobs in the sector, with Cognizant planning to hire 25,000 workers this year, having recruited the same number in 2010.
