Stansted could see employment boost

A new donation could pave the way for employment boosts and more training for current staff members at one of London's main airports.
The Saffron Weldon Reporter has said that the airport's training academy has received a donation of £50,000 from the airport itself as it looks to create more jobs in the area.
Anita Garrard, manager at the academy, said: "Since opening our doors in 2008, and with the generous support of Stansted Airport, we have supported thousands of individuals looking for new employment and helped deliver many training opportunities for people keen to improve skills and open new doors."
The academy works closely with the British Aviation Authority (BAA) and the airport in order to provide people coming through its doors the best chance of getting work at the airport.
Further job boosts were given in Britain this week by Samsung Heavy Industries, which announced that it would be creating 1,300 jobs at a wind generation site in Fife, Scotland.
