10. desember 2009
Infosys Technologies unveils 13,000 Indian jobsIndia's second largest IT services provider has announced that it will employ 13,000 engineering graduates by the end of 2011.

Infosys Technologies revealed that it has already visited the campuses of around 700 engineering colleges in the Asian country and made 20,000 employment offers to recent graduates.

The firm, however, explained that between 75 per cent and 80 per cent of these students are expected to accept their offers and join the company, the Economic Times reported.

The announcement was made by Nandita Gurjar, senior vice-president of Infosys Technologies, who explained that the company has altered its graduate recruitment policy this year.

He said that the company is now offering places to students in their final semesters at university, instead of a year before they complete their studies.

Earlier this week, the Indian labor market was given further cause for optimism after the Jammu and Kashmir state government revealed that it will attempt to generate 500,000 jobs in the next five years.ADNFCR-1275-ID-19506067-ADNFCR
