On behalf of our customer Bergen Engines we are looking for a highly skilled engineer specialized in automation and cybernetics. In this role, you will work with everything from simple control functions to advanced multi-variable controllers, with a strong focus on thermal machinery and physical principles.
Key Tasks
- Define control and safety functions, ranging from simple threshold functions to advanced multi-variable controllers.
- Develop and maintain standard software.
- Drive component selection, sizing, and verification through simulations and physical testing based on fundamental physical principles.
- Prepare documentation packages, including wiring diagrams, layouts, flow charts, alarm lists, test procedures, and user instructions.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, or Cybernetics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of physical, thermodynamical, and mechanical principles combined with an understanding of automation.
- Experience with reciprocating engines or similar thermal machinery.
- Experience with simulations and modelling (MATLAB).
- Experience with programming of PLC and digital controllers.
