We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Control & Protection Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team working on high-voltage substation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and delivery of control and protection systems while collaborating closely with project teams, suppliers, and customers. You will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise both in the office and on-site across Norway.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all Control & Protection engineering activities throughout project execution.
- Develop technical drawings, calculations, and documentation for substation projects.
- Take ownership of Control & Protection design, including base design, detailed design, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and site activities in collaboration with commissioning engineers.
- Provide technical support during installation and project execution.
- Conduct technical evaluations, risk assessments, and engineering recommendations to optimize project performance.
- Collaborate with factories and suppliers across Europe to support project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, project execution, or site work.
- Strong knowledge of substation Control & Protection engineering and execution.
- Fluent in both English and Norwegian, written and spoken.
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with one or more of the following will be considered an advantage:
- EPLAN, E3, or AutoCAD.
- SCADA systems, control systems, and programming.
- IED tools such as PCM600 or similar.
- Power systems, transmission systems, and renewable energy projects.
- Commissioning and testing of protection systems, including secondary and primary injection testing.
- Knowledge of Norwegian regulations and standards for power systems.
